After the latest vulnerabilities were exposed (and thankfully fixed) in Adobe Flash Player, it is important to know how to disable it to prevent any future bug from hurting your computer system. When you disable a plugin, you are basically not allowing it to run on your browser. I am an avid Chrome user, so here is the easiest way to disable Flash and any other plugins:
STEP 1 Open a new tab STEP 2 Type (or copy and paste) chrome://plugins/ STEP 3 Find the plugin called Adobe Flash Player and click disable. The plugin should be greyed-out. You should also make note of the version of the current plugin to know when the new one has been updated. And that is it! Simple, right? Once the new patched version becomes available, simply make sure you are running the latest version of Chrome and enable the plugin. Note: When you disable Flash, you will not be able to view any content that runs on it, so simply enable the plugin if you want to view that content. I hope this was useful. Let me know if you have any questions. Have a nice weekend! |
